X Architecture & Engineering Consult Honored with 2024 Architecture MasterPrize
We are thrilled to announce that our Yacht Kid Residential Development project has received an Honorable Mention at the 2024 Architecture MasterPrize in the Residential Architecture - Multi Unit category. This recognition highlights our commitment to innovative, sustainable design and the creativity of our dedicated team.
The Yacht Kid project is located in the Fabrica de Glucoză neighborhood, northeast of Bucharest, near Lake Tei, an area that has transformed into a thriving architectural hub over the past decade. The lake’s proximity deeply influenced our design, with an emphasis on creating outdoor living spaces that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The building’s terraces, cascading down with pools, take advantage of the site’s natural height difference, offering breathtaking views.
The project is part of a larger urban masterplan designed to accommodate 20,000 residents, complete with large green spaces and community areas. Our building faces a 7,000 sqm park, and we've collaborated closely with future developments to ensure uninterrupted views of the lake.
Key features of the Yacht Kid project include its curved balconies, a signature design element that reflects the growing demand for outdoor living spaces, and its innovative Kid Technology System, a sandwich panel offering superior thermal and acoustic performance. This system integrates the structure of the ventilated façade and provides precision installation straight from the factory.
Through careful material selection, including sleek glass surfaces and textured finishes like wood, we have created a harmonious balance of form and function, offering both elegance and warmth.
This award is a testament to our team’s passion for excellence and our commitment to creating sustainable, functional buildings. We extend our deepest gratitude to the 500+ people who contributed to making this project a reality.
