- What trends do you notice in architecture and design in the residential sector? What are the specifications of the new housing projects, currently designed, in terms of partitioning, interior/exterior design and type of materials used?
- XAE offers a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to research and design in the field of urban design and architecture that takes into account the social and urban context of the project. This ensures not only an impressive end result, but also one that has a positive impact on the immediate environment. Each project undertaken is developed based on a unique set of principles, including a strong design philosophy, detailed research and interactive development concepts, to ensure inspired, high quality, sustainable design that impeccably meets the requirements of its users. We look for our projects to adaptively reuse the existing built stock and regenerate the central areas of Bucharest into which they are integrated, aiming to give new life to open areas and spaces, activating disused sites into active areas that respond to current urban life. Representative examples are One Lake District developed on a former industrial site, a brick factory, and One Cotroceni Park which revitalizes the Razoare - Progresului area on the former Ventilatorul factory site. By incorporating wider contexts and urban fabric, our projects aim to consider social and environmental issues. There is a need for an architecture that vibrates together with the public space. Together they have a substantial echo in the energy of the city. We aim to integrate diverse functions in mixed-use developments with parks, local shops, kindergartens, schools, leisure, swimming pools and fitness. Our intention is to dilute the barrier between public and private activities, favouring places of synergies, exchanges and interconnections. It will be a combination of uses and built environment typologies that empower a new architecture of value."
